ClarityGrid Learn is currently free to use — no subscription or payment required at this time. Pricing may be introduced in the future; if so, you will receive at least 60 days' notice before any charge is applied, and the core learning experience will always remain accessible.

1. Acceptance

By using ClarityGrid Learn, you agree to these Terms. If you are a parent or guardian setting up a profile for a child, you accept on their behalf. If you are a school or district deploying ClarityGrid Learn for students, you accept on behalf of your institution.

2. What ClarityGrid Learn Is

ClarityGrid Learn is a free, AI-adaptive learning platform for students in Grades 1–12. It provides placement assessments, adaptive sessions across five subjects (Math, Science, Reading, Writing, Public Speaking), and per-session AI report cards.

ClarityGrid Learn is a supplemental learning tool. It is not a replacement for school instruction, a licensed tutoring service, or a provider of certified educational assessments or diagnoses.

3. Accounts and Access

A student profile requires only a first name or nickname, a school grade, and a 4-digit PIN. No email address is required. You are responsible for keeping your PIN confidential. If a PIN is lost, contact admin@claritygrid.com with your profile name for assistance.

4. AI-Generated Content

Questions, feedback, and skill gap analysis are generated by Google Gemini AI. While we take significant steps to ensure accuracy and age-appropriateness, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. If you believe a question was graded incorrectly, report it to admin@claritygrid.com. We use a three-layer grading system to prevent students from being penalised for correct answers.

5. School and District Use

By deploying ClarityGrid Learn for students, a school or district:

Represents it has authority under FERPA and applicable state law to authorise data collection on behalf of students as described in our Privacy Policy
Agrees to use the platform only for legitimate educational purposes
Understands the service is provided free of charge with no warranty of uninterrupted service
May request a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) by contacting admin@claritygrid.com

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use ClarityGrid Learn for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to access another student's profile or data
Use automated tools to manipulate sessions or the adaptive engine
Reverse-engineer or extract source code from the platform

7. Student Data Ownership

Student learning data belongs to the student and their family, or to the school when used in a school context. We process this data on your behalf to deliver the service. We do not sell student data or use it for non-educational commercial purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Current Pricing

ClarityGrid Learn is currently free to use. We reserve the right to introduce pricing in the future. Before any paid tier is introduced, active users will receive at least 60 days' advance notice. No user will be charged without explicit prior notification.

9. Limitation of Liability

ClarityGrid Learn is provided "as is." Claritygrid LLC is not liable for academic outcomes, AI grading errors, or service interruptions. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed zero for free users.

10. Termination

You may delete your profile at any time. We may suspend access for violations of these terms. Schools ending an agreement receive 30 days' notice with data export available during that period.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of King County or Snohomish County, Washington.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version with an updated date. Schools under formal agreements receive 30 days' notice of material changes.
